Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Rockliffe Hall offers ‘Meets and Treats’ to celebrate National Spa Week in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support

The North East’s 5* spa is celebrating National Spa Week, which runs from 30th October to 3rd November, by encouraging people who may not have ever considered visiting a spa to give it a go- and raise money for a national cancer charity in the process.

Rockliffe Hall, in Hurworth near Darlington, is holding a range of special, limited availability events to give people the chance to ‘meet and treat’ as well as raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Mini-treatments will be offered poolside in the spa as well as in the Boutique, for a suggested, small donation to Macmillan Cancer Support. These will include head and foot massages, hand and arm massages and cuticle and nail treatments. Seasonal cakes and cookies will also contribute to the fundraising.

Rockliffe Hall also has specially-trained therapists on hand to ensure all treatments and facilities are suitable for those affected by cancer.

Wellness Wednesday There’ll be a special spa day taking place on Wednesday 1st November, for a reduced price of £95 (normally £135) to include a Neom Wellbeing 60 minute treatment, a live juicing wellness workshop and a woodland wellness walk, as well as full use of the sumptuous spa.

National Spa Week, now in its 13th year, is organised by the UK Spa Association, a not-for-profit organisation that supports the UK spa industry. The aim of the dedicated week is to raise awareness about spa use and to highlight some of the many health benefits for a variety of people of all ages, whether male or female.

Spa Manager at Rockliffe Hall, Victoria Rickett, said: “Latest research by the UK Spa Association reveals that less than 8% of people visit spas and are unaware of the many wellbeing benefits. We hope that by organising a range of unusual events, spa days and ‘treats’ we can de-mystify spas and entice more people to prioritise their wellbeing.”
