An award-winning North East software provider is preparing for expansion with new premises.
Everflow Tech, which designs and creates software for the utilities industry, has moved to a dedicated office space on Wynyard Business Park, with room for double the workforce.
The company, along with business water retailer Everflow Water, makes up the Everflow Group, and until recently, both firms were based in the same building.
The group’s chief technology officer Paul Williams said: “In our previous office, we could seat 14 people – we now have space for 30 people.
“This extra room gives us the opportunity to grow the Everflow Tech team even further while also giving Everflow Water a floor to themselves.”
The company has already started to fill the space, with recruitment currently under way for six positions – four developers and two test engineers – taking the total team up to 24.
Paul added: “Everflow Tech is going from strength to strength; we’ve had two new customers sign up in the last four weeks alone, which will increase our revenue by around 20 per cent.
“The roles we are recruiting for and the extra space we have will allow us to expand our ability to develop great software and support requirements for new customers.”
Everflow Water was launched in 2015, after chief executive Josh Gill saw a gap in the market for an ethical water retailer which could utilise technology to operate efficiently. Everflow Tech was created in 2018 as a retail sales, billing and customer management platform.
Since then, the group has become the fastest-growing water retailer in the market, and came third in the FT1000, the Financial Times’ annual list of the most promising businesses, earlier this year.
The group, which has a site in Warwickshire as well as those in Wynyard, was also named as the 3rd best utilities firm and 18th best North East place to work in the Best Companies to Work For rankings, released last month.
