Ryedale’s vast array of food and drink producers are being asked to register and update their details with the ‘Visit Ryedale’ initiative, which plans to promote these businesses and their products to visitors.
Originally compiled to encourage a reduction in ‘food miles’ by enabling people to source products grown and made in Ryedale, the updated information will now also be used by the tourism team at Ryedale District Council, ‘Visit Ryedale’, to promote the area’s local food and drink businesses to visitors.
As well as visiting the Ryedale area for its beautiful landscape and many attractions and events, visitors can enjoy a wide range of food and drink, grown and made right on our doorstep.
The database will be used by the Council across a number of business development initiatives to encourage residents, the hospitality industry and visitors to support town, country and farm businesses by choosing and using local food and drink produced in the District.
If you would like your food or drink business to be listed, please contact Craig Nattress, Visitor Economy Officer, email craig.nattress@ryedale.gov.uk, tel 01653 600666 ext 315, visitryedale@ryedale.gov.uk or @visitRyedale by 31st March 2016.
