Sage Gateshead is delighted to announce three new shows that are on sale now. Highlights include some good ol’ fashioned festive fun with The Overtones, and Strictly Come Dancing favourites Anton De Beke and Erin Boag.
Kayhan Kalhor & Toumani Diabaté
Thursday 2 November, 8pm, Sage Two
Kayhan Kalhor is one of the internationally best-known performers of Persian and Kurdish music. He has also become known to international audiences through his collaboration with Yo-Yo Ma, the New York Philharmonic Orchestra or the film-maker Francis Ford Copolla.
Toumani Diabaté comes from an ancient Griot family, who claim to be able to trace their ancestry back 70 generations. Griots are the guardians of history, literature, and music in their culture. Toumani Diabaté is recognized as one of the most influential musicians from West Africa and as an excellent player of the Kora, the West African double bridge harp-lute.

Judie Tzuke is one of the UK’s finest Singer/Songwriters and is known all over the world for her timeless song, ‘Stay With Me Till Dawn’, with many top 10 albums, including the revered classic, ‘Welcome to the Cruise’. Judie will be showing once again what an extraordinary artist she is with an intimate evening of old favourites and songs from her new album, ‘Peace Has Broken Out’, combined with stories from across her life and career.
Anton and Erin – From Broadway to Hollywood Plus the Manchester Concert Orchestra

Join the nation’s favourite ballroom couple, Anton du Beke and Erin Boag, when they return with an exciting new show for 2018 as they celebrate the golden age of Hollywood. Featuring dazzling new choreography, sparkling costumes, and a sensational show band performing timeless music.
The duo will be joined by conductor Richard Balcombe, star vocalist Lance Ellington and six world-class ensemble dancers.
Join them as they dance through classic hits, including Mr Bojangles, Downtown, Couple of Swells and New York, New York.
