This is the first year Jesmond Pool has hosted a large-scale Christmas Fair, and organisers hope to attract members of the wider public as well as regular customers who enjoy a broad range of activities at the community managed building on St George’s Terrace.

Over 20 stall holders will be shaking out their tinsel and setting up shop on the day, offering a wide range of Christmas gift ideas. From candles to cushions, baby wear, toys, jewellery, handbags and even garden chic – shoppers will be able to pick up a few thoughtful handmade gifts, support local businesses and have the satisfaction of ticking a few names off the festive shopping list!

Santa’s Grotto will be in operation from 10 – 12 am and 1 – 3 pm, only £2 entry which includes a gift for every young visitor.

Donna Rumney, Duty Manager at Jesmond Pool, and event organiser, said:
“We’re really looking forward to a fun-filled day, and have planned our event in mid-November so we can give people the opportunity to get their Christmas shopping sorted early, and hopefully they can then relax and enjoy the festive season. As well as great gift ideas, there’s the chance to sit and enjoy some tasty treats, and we’ll have lots of fun for kids with balloon animals and face painting. We know Santa is gearing up for a very busy festive season, so he jumped at the opportunity to enjoy some down time in the pool and sauna at Jesmond Pool.”
