Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Have your say on the borough’s highways and transport

stockton council largeRESIDENTS across Stockton-on-Tees are being encouraged to have their say in a comprehensive highway and transport survey.

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council has joined up with 106 other local authorities nationally to produce the survey which will seek residents’ views on local roads, footpaths and public transport.

From Monday 27 June more than 3000 questionnaires will be posted out across the Borough to residents chosen at random by market research specialist, Ipsos MORI.

Residents who receive the questionnaire can complete the survey on line if they prefer by following a short URL link printed on the front of the questionnaire and entering a unique code.

Councillor Nigel Cooke, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Transport, said: “We know the upkeep of our roads and pavements is important to our residents and we are committed to making sure that our highways are safe and well maintained. We urge people who receive a survey to take part because these results will help us further plan for the future and they can also influence the amount of investment the Government allocates to Stockton-on-Tees for highways’ improvements and maintenance.”

The deadline for returning the questionnaire is Friday 19 August and results of the survey will be available online in the autumn.
