WEYES, run by Children North East, has provided a Sexual Health and C-Card service for over 10 years in the west of Newcastle and has seen a regular increase in the amount of young people turning to them for advice on sexual relationships and health.

Lucy Ward, Project Worker at Children North East said: “We’re very proud to have won this award and extremely proud of the work we do with young people around sexual health and relationships.  This essential service ensures young people are protected and informed when they need to be and with 1,248 C-Cards achieved throughout the course of the year, we are delighted with this recognition.”

WEYES, based in the west end of Newcastle, has been in operation since 1997 and offers a variety of confidential services including counselling, drop ins and activities for young people.
