FESTIVAL fans are being called on to share their favourite SIRF memories on social media.
SIRF organiser Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council has launched the appeal as part of the event’s 30th birthday celebrations.
The Council’s Director of Culture, Leisure and Events, Reuben Kench, said: “SIRF holds a special place in people’s hearts and we want to celebrate its birthday in style.
“And as is the custom when it comes to landmark birthdays, we’re looking for a bit of nostalgia!
“If you’ve got any SIRF stories, photographs, items, or video footage, whether they’re from back in the 80s and 90s, or more recent times, we’d love to hear from you.
“Just visit the SIRF17 Facebook page at www.facebook.com/stocktonfestival and post your memories on the wall or share your memories on Twitter using the SIRF17 hashtag.”
SIRF 17 takes place from Thursday 3 August to Sunday 6 August and will offer up to 30 individual shows a day from 1.15pm until 11pm.
