WEARSIDE looks set to sparkle this Valentine’s Day as a leading shopping centre reveals jewellery stores are its most popular retailers.
The Bridges, Sunderland, is ready for a rush this February as shoppers prepare to use February 14 to proclaim their feelings for their loved ones.
And with high end watches and diamonds best sellers in the city, the Bridges’ jewellers are looking forward to a glittering run-up to the most romantic day of the year.
The centre has a range of jewellery stores including Beaverbrooks, Ernest Jones and Goldsmiths, along with top fashion brands, Swarovski and Pandora.
“Valentine’s Day is always a busy time of year for us but thanks to some new additions to the centre we’re expecting this year to be even busier,” said Andy Bradley, Centre Director at the Bridges.
“Our shoppers are clearly a romantic bunch given that jewellery is always among our best sellers but luckily the range of shops we have at the Bridges means that you can still say “ I love you” with a gift whatever your budget.”
The new late night shopping on Thursdays means that there’ll be no excuses for rushing around on the day itself for a last minute gift.
Most of the major retailers are now open until 8pm on Thursdays, with free parking in the Bridges’ car parks from5.30pm until 9pm.
