Simon Bailes supports festive toy appeal to help needy children

18516Simon Bailes Peugeot has pledged to help Father Christmas deliver presents to thousands of underprivileged children this Christmas.

The business is supporting the TFM Mission Christmas Toy Appeal again this year by acting as a collection and drop off point for toys at all three of its dealerships from Monday November 30 to Wednesday December 23.

The appeal will provide some Christmas cheer to underprivileged children and their families across Teesside, County Durham and North Yorkshire.

Simon Bailes is also having some festive fun on site on Friday 18th December when staff are taking part in a Christmas Jumper Day and will give a gift or donate a fixed sum or donate an hour’s wages to the appeal.

The dealership is also running a social media campaign using the hashtag #ChristmasJumperFriday and is inviting people to tag ‘Simon Bailes Peugeot’ and to send in their photos wearing Christmas jumpers. Donations of Christmas gifts can be for either a boy or a girl recipient and must be brand new and unwrapped.

Simon Bailes said: “This has been a hard year for Teesside with job losses at many local companies including SSI, so it will be brilliant to be able to help

“This is an excellent opportunity to provide some festive joy to families who have taken a hit this year. I’d encourage customers to dig deep and think about buying an extra present or two for needy youngsters this Christmas. People can drop their unwrapped gifts into any of our three dealerships at Northallerton, Stockton or Guisborough.”

Kara Hatton of Cash for Kids said: “Every year we receive more and more applications for gifts, and we couldn’t deliver this without the overwhelming support we have from local companies like Simon Bailes Peugeot. We think this will be the biggest campaign yet, and appeal to the public to donate a new, unwrapped gift and leave at one of our drop-off points across the area.”
