Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

SOLICITORS GET DOWN TO SOME DIRTY WORK – FOR CHARITY…

BEING KNEE-deep in mud once would be enough for most people – but not staff at a Sunderland legal firm.

Because for the second year running, a group of game solicitors got grubby, to raise funds for a very good cause.

A team from Richard Reed Solicitors, based at Frederick Street, once again took part in Cancer Research UK’s Pretty Muddy Challenge, held recently at Herrington Park.

The event involves participants manoeuvring their way round a 5K muddy obstacle course.

Managing Director Sarah Reid, Director and Solicitor Phil Moir, Barry Wood, Director and Chartered Legal Executive, Finance Manager Natalie Rawding and Wills, Trusts and Probate Solicitor Wendy Mustard along with her sister, Nichola Downing entered fully into the spirit of the event – and all ended up muddy but happy.

The group raised £784, an amount being matched by the firm and with the added Gift Aid available, it means they are donating £1712.25 to the charity.

This was the first time for most of the participants, with Barry Wood the only person to take part in last year’s event.

“We know last year’s team had great fun, all the while raising money for such a worthy cause.  When the opportunity came along to do so again, we jumped at the chance” said Sarah Reid.

“We are thrilled with the amount of money raised and so pleased to be able to match it. It is going to an absolutely fantastic charity, one close to many people hearts.”

There is still the opportunity to donate at:
