Overnight road resurfacing work is to be carried out at Spennymoor this week.
Durham County Council is to resurface the A688 Green Lane Industrial Estate mini roundabout on the A688 Spennymoor by-pass, with work to be carried out between 7pm and 6am from Tuesday 24 May and expected to end on Thursday 26 May.
The work will require full road closures of all approaches to the roundabout. This will prevent access to the A688 via the A167 Thinford Roundabout, the B6288 roundabout and Green Lane.
Diversion routes and signs will be in place.
Works are part of Durham County Council’s ongoing capital maintenance programme.
John Reed, the council’s head of technical services, said: “We are continuing the programme of essential maintenance to the highways network for all road users in the county. The works are scheduled to take place overnight to minimise disruption, however we do thank the public to for their continuing patience.”
