Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Spooky sensory session for Stockton care home

A SPOOKY sensory session was held for Halloween at a Stockton on Tees care home.

The residents of The Beeches Care Home, on Green Lane, plunged their hands into gunge filled with snakes, eyeballs and spiders.

The gunge was green jelly and residents were fishing for tasty, sweet treats disguised as body parts, reptiles and insects.

Staff also got into the spirit dressing as ghoulish nurses and witches and decorated the home with pumpkins and skulls.

Helen Wood, home manager at The Beeches Care Home, said: “Our residents and staff had a thoroughly spooky time at this year’s Halloween party.

“We believe it’s important to celebrate the events our residents remember from their younger days, as it helps them engage and interact with others as well as reminisce.”
