Steampunk Spectacular at Locomotion: The NRM at Shildon

Locomotion: The National Railway Museum at Shildon is inviting visitors to enjoy a grand exhibition of Victorian locomotive contraptions at the Steampunk Spectacular event on Saturday September 23 and Sunday September 24, 2017.

Visitors will be able to get on board cabs of selected steam locomotives, take a steam train ride behind Furness Railway No. 20, and browse the excellent selection of steampunk trade stands!

Plus don’t miss performances by Same Difference of “The Sense Machine”. This features an eccentric pair of Victorian scientists, inviting the audience to try a range of gadgets to explore and understand the world around us.

Locomotion: The National Railway Museum at Shildon is open from 10am to 5pm daily. Parking and admission are free of charge. Please note that there is a charge for steam train rides.
