A visit to a newly opened store was just the ticket for Crewe couple Oliver and Sally Eadon, after they walked away with £1,000 worth of flooring.
In the process of extending their home in Sandbach so Sally’s 89-year-old mum Betty can move in, the couple had begun scouring the flooring stores of Crewe for suitable flooring.
After hearing about the opening of the 5,000-square foot Flooring Superstore, on the town’s Grand Junction Retail Park, they popped in and found the flooring they liked.
After measuring up, they returned for another visit shortly after and were invited to draw one of 150 golden tickets that been put in a bowl offering various discounts off flooring, with only one ticket containing a voucher for £1,000.
To their surprise, the ticket they had won the top prize.
This means Oliver and Sally have had a substantial chunk of their flooring budget taken care of.
Oliver said: “Betty is due to move once the extension is complete, so that obviously meant we needed new flooring and we also thought that was a good opportunity to replace some of the existing flooring in the house.
“For the kitchen, we wanted something which was hard-wearing and waterproof, but we had been unable to find any which could state it was actually 100% waterproof.
“Then when we saw that Flooring Superstore had opened, we saw a brand new range called EvoCore which was fully waterproof, and we really liked the colours available.
“So, we returned expecting to pay for the flooring, then by chance we drew one of the tickets and were amazed when we picked the £1,000 voucher.
“That has really helped our budget, put it that way!”
Flooring Superstore Regional Manager Greig Anderson said: “The odds of finding the £1,000 voucher were high, so to have it picked out so soon after the store opened was a big surprise to us all.
“We’re delighted for Oliver and Sally and having the new flooring will be a lovely house-warming present for Betty.”
“The golden ticket promotion was our way of celebrating the opening of a new store in Crewe and we are delighted with how well it has been received.”
