The Saturday saw Luke Mitchell, Matthew Pearson and Jake Haygarth play in the 1-star event. the Cadet Boys saw Luke and Matty both ended up in the plate event where they progressed to face each other in the semi-final. Matt hit the ground running and didn’t allow Luke much opportunity, coming out winner 3-0 to reach the final which was just a hurdle too far, with Matthew going down to a London based player. With 11-year-old Jake Haygarth wing his group, before going down in the quarter finals to an older opponent. The Under 13’s saw Luke and Jake face each other in the group, with Jake coming out on top 11-9 in the 5th in a fantastic match. Both Luke and Jake made it through to through to the main event, where Luke made it to the quarter finals before going down. Jake made his way to the final and came out 3-1 winner over the second seed from Middlesex.

The Sunday saw Anya Milne, Lee Tinkler and Sam Hume play the 2-star, First up was Anya in the Cadet girls singles. A group with England number 4 Darcie Proud looked a hard task, but Anya made it through as runner up and through to the quarter finals.

The under 13’s saw Anya seeded 3rd and made light work of her group to book a place in the quarters, coming out winner over England number 14 to set up a semi with Hong Kong player Hong Ying Choong who went on to win the event.

Sam Hume and Lee Tinkler both took part in the Junior boy’s singles, and both made it through their groups, with Sam scoring a win over a player ranked 50 places higher than him. However, Lee had a hiccup and lost to a lower ranked player, but both made it through to the quarter finals where they faced each other. Lee came out victor to reach the Semis, where the second seed was too strong for him.
