On September 29 the Bridges will be holding its Student Raid, a special, one night shopping event for young people who are attending the city’s university or colleges.
The evening includes up to 30 per cent discounts in many of the stores, live DJ sets and competitions and is open to new students and those who are already living in the city.
This is the fifth year the student-only event has taken place at the centre, with the number of attendees steadily growing.
In 2014 more than 8000 students attended the shopping evening, not only providing them with the opportunity to see what the city centre has to offer but also giving a huge boost to the local economy.
The event is free but anyone wanting to attend must register in advance at thebridges-shopping.com/
“This is always a fantastic event,” said Andy Bradley, Centre Director at the Bridges.
“All of our retailers support the evening and it’s a great way for the new students to discover their new home and returning students to snap up some bargains.
“We look forward to welcoming them what will be a great night.”
