A multi award-winning North East events’ company is celebrating a record summer and launching a new service to help with its growth plans.
Northumberland-based Simply Bows and Chair Covers dresses events all over the UK through its franchise network of 11 offices and has dressed several ‘celebrity’ events so far in 2015.
Managing director, Sarah Pittendrigh, runs the South Durham and Teesside franchise working with leading hotels such as Seaham Hall, Headlam Hall, Doxford Hall and Wynyard Hall to name a few.
Having personally dressed over 1000 events since launching Simply Bows and Chair Covers in 2008, Sarah has identified a changing market and, in response to feedback from the hospitality industry, has recently invested in an exclusive range of new chairs.
The range of handcrafted styles, including gold, silver, black, white and lime-washed beechwood chairs, were launched at the start of August and already over 30 bookings have been made, contributing to an increase in a variety of new events for Simply Bows and Chair Covers.
Sarah said: “It is vital in the wedding and events’ sector to constantly seek out new trends and predict future trends. It’s imperative that we stay ahead of the game as it is so competitive. Luxury chair covers are still very popular but customers wanted something different and our new, elegant chairs are more popular than we could have imagined.
“The demand has been unprecedented as the range is so well crafted, by hand, and all of the chairs can also be decorated. Without doubt, the new range is contributing to business growth as bookings throughout August have been well above average for the entire franchise network.”
Sarah Pittendrigh set up Simply Bows and Chair Covers in 2008 and now has a franchise network operating fromAberdeen to South Wales and into Essex and Berkshire.
Sarah’s latest figures show that this summer has been the company’s most successful to date with all franchises seeing an increase in the number of events completed. In total, the network of 11 has dressed over 600 weddings during June, July and August.
Simply Bows and Chair Covers this year celebrates its seventh year in business and, since its launch, has completed over 5000 weddings and events and has fitted more than 250,000 chair covers nationwide.
Simply Bows and Chair Covers’ franchisees have also enjoyed high profile success with the Lancashire franchisee, Joanne Smith, dressing the wedding of the character Tracey Barlow in Coronation Street, after producers contacted her having seen one of her events and invited her to be part of the high profile storyline. And Kimberley Gosden, who runs the Essex office, dressed actor Gary Lucy’s wedding at the 5 star Mandarin Oriental Hotel in London.
The business has preferred supplier status at hotels all over the UK including Seaham Hall, Doxford Hall and Eshott Hall in the North East, Swinton Park and Rudding Park in North Yorkshire, Donnington Hotel and Spa, Berkshire and Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa near Dundee, to name but a few.
