North East Connected

Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Summit To Shout About!

Lions enjoyed a productive day of networking, with an exhibition stand at the Tees Valley Business Summit last Thursday. The event was held at the Olympia Building of Teesside University with more than 100 exhibitors and more than 1000 visitors.

Lions Commercial Director Martin Anderson organised the Lions exhibit and brought along Head Coach James Thomson and super fan Alex Routledge to promote the club’s ambitions to bring professional basketball to the region.

Martin, also managing director of Lemon Business Solutions, said: “Today symbolised the first day of a strategic drive towards engaging the local business world in an effort to seek their support for our ambitions plans.

“It was pleasing to receive such positive feedback and we were able to secure sponsors and interest on the day, which was the primary objective. I think people were genuinely impressed at the good value for return on objective.”

The Mayor of Tees Valley Ben Houchen and Mayor of Middlesbrough Andy Preston both made inspiring speeches to the delegates and there was a real sense of hope and opportunity for the region.

Andy Preston also popped by the Lions exhibition for a photo.
