Sunderland Minster to host medieval banquet

Capture16SUNDERLAND MINSTER is drawing inspiration from one of the UK’s top television series, as part of a unique evening of historic entertainment.

On Friday October 30 the city’s iconic building will be hosting a medieval banquet, heavily influenced by the TV show Game of Thrones.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Seaburn Satellite Club, the event will feature entertainment, re-enactments and a three course banquet of traditional dishes.

The event is the first of its kind to be held at the Minster, which organisers see as the perfect setting to create an authentic event.

“The Minster will provide the perfect backdrop for a medieval banquet,” said Gemma Dishman, Chair of the club.

“And we think this is going to be an amazing evening in a unique setting. Although the event is Game of Thrones inspired, you don’t have to be a fan to enjoy what’s on offer.

“It promises to be a stunning and unforgettable night with a few surprises thrown in.”

Tickets for the event are £55 each and available via the website at  www.rotarysr1.co.uk or at the Bridges Customer Service desk. Tables of ten are available at the discounted price of £500. Further information is available by contacting Andy Bradley on 0191 515 4880.
