A TELECOMS and IT company which works with household names across the UK has started the year strongly with three new appointments.

Sunderland-based CCS added an additional eight staff to its books last year and the business is planning to expand its office space this year to accommodate its growing ranks.

Terry Lewis and Andrew Fox have joined the company as business development managers with a focus on sourcing new business opportunities and building client relationships. The duo have joined CCS’ strong sales team, which works to understand and provide for different businesses IT and communication needs.

Terry, joins CCS from EE where he spent six years as a business development manager. He said: “CCS has a great reputation for retention of both customers and staff so it was an easy decision to join.

“IT and telecoms is a fast-moving industry so it’s our job to help businesses understand that the systems and equipment that they have in place must be future proof.

“It’s an exciting time to be joining the company with the office expansion coming this year and I’m enjoying the new challenge.”

Andrew, joins with 20 years of experience in telecoms having previously worked for BT and the Daisy Group. His focus will be on developing the firm’s already strong offering to home care organisations and SMEs.

He said: “Having worked in telecommunications for 20 years I know the importance of great customer service and a good reputation – both of which CCS has. It’s a really ambitious company and I’m looking forward to contributing to its success moving forward.”

The third new appointment is telemarketer Paul Hedley, who has 20 years’ experience of face-to-face and telesales in the North East. Paul will be tasked with generating leads for the sales team and for many clients he will be the first point of contact with CCS.

Paul said: “I have a range of experience in sales in general, and more recently specifically in telecoms, so my new role at CCS is the perfect fit. I have worked for a range of companies in the North East so I know the local business landscape very well and this is something that the company prides itself on.”

Established in 1986, CCS supplied and installed the first mobile phone for business in the North East and currently provides a variety of B2B telecommunications and IT technology, including mobile phones, IT products and services, desktop support and telephony platforms.

The appointment of Terry, Andrew and Paul adds to a busy period of recruitment for CCS, with six new faces joining in August, as well as the arrival of Kevin Greener as UK sales manager in May.

Chris Lee, managing director of CCS, said: “Last year was a really exciting one for the company and our recruitment drive allowed us to further strengthen the quality of the service that we provide to our clients. With the increase in headcount we have outgrown our current office space so we have plans to expand it early this year.

“We’re delighted to welcome Terry, Andrew and Paul to the team. They all bring with them different experience and skills and will add to the already great team we have here at CCS. This is a great way to start the year and we’re all really looking forward to 2017 and what it will hold for the company.”
