TWO Teesside food producers have been nominated for an Eat Game Award.

Thanks to customer nominations, gourmet pie makers Pie Jackers and scotch egg supremos The Clucking Pig, are in the running for the national accolades.

The two micro producers will be at Wynyard Hall Farmers’ Market on Sunday (June 17) from 9am till 2pm, with more than 20 other food and drink stalls.

The Eat Game Awards is an exciting initiative aimed at celebrating all that is best about wild British produce.

The awards will identify and celebrate the innovators, creators and revolutionaries in the world of wild game.

Pie Jackers makes an artisan game pie using venison and pheasant, while The Clucking Pig Company uses a wide variety of game in their scotch eggs.
