Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Teesside teen brings international DJ to Middlesbrough

Screen Shot 2016-05-12 at 14.52.40AFTER the success of his first major gig featuring rapping sensation Wretch 32, Teesside-born Jason Blackburn has secured another internationally-renowned artist to perform in the region.

On May 29, Drum & Bass DJ Wilkinson will take to the stage at Tees Valley Arena, in Middlesbrough, alongside electronic music duo Delta Heavy and Ex on the Beach star Ashley Cain.

The star-studded gig will be the second major event for 19-year-old Jason, after he turned his hand to the music industry following a football career playing for Carlisle United.

He said: “Storm Platinum Events is dedicated to bringing the UK’s biggest artists to the North East, our first event with Wretch 32 was a complete sell-out with 1,600 packing out Newcastle’s O2 Academy.

“It’s great this time to be working close to my home town of Hartlepool and bringing these acts to Teesside. Wilkinson is a huge artist who is really going to raise the roof at Tees Valley Arena.”

DJ and Producer Wilkinson has recently announced he is joining the V Festival line-up whilst Delta Heavy are currently touring with their new album release ‘Paradise Lost’.

The two will come together alongside Ashley Cain of MTV fame for a one-off spectacular.

Jason, who also runs Storm Property Solutions – a Teesside property business – has a hectic schedule but is confident that this next project will be another sell-out.

He added: “Storm Property Solutions is another venture, that works to sell people from Teesside’s houses, taking away the stress of finding buyers and processing the full deal quickly.

“Although that definitely keeps me busy, my mind is always working overtime thinking about the next event I can put on and which performers I can bring to the region.

“There’s already been a lot of interest and with tickets only on sale for the next four weeks, they’re going to go fast.”

Tickets for the event on May 29 cost £17.50 and can be purchased online from: http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/event/wilkinson-tickets/225061
