Discover your perfect UK long bank holiday weekend getaway

Millions of people across the UK are coming together this June to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and mark Queen Elizabeth II’s momentous 70-year reign. Events have been planned up and down the country, taking place across the special four-day UK bank holiday weekend. These festivities are a great reason for any last-minute bookers to make the most of the long summer weekend and plan a getaway with Hyatt.

Here’s a taste of how some of Hyatt’s UK hotels and their communities are uniting to celebrate the once-in-a-lifetime anniversary:

Whilst London will be central to many official celebrations, there’s no need to be standing outside Buckingham Palace for the entire weekend. There’s a multi-sensory Jubilee Afternoon Tea at Great Scotland Yard Hotel. Created by the hotel’s Head Pastry Chef, Verónica Garrido Martínez, this exquisite afternoon tea experience has been created in partnership with the iconic perfumery, Floris London, the only appointed perfumer to Her Majesty The Queen. Dine on an assortment of seasonal teacakes and delicate pastries including ‘Oat, Honey and Apricot Primrose Hat’, ‘Violet Battenberg’ and ‘Imperial State Crown Lime Cookie’ – inspired by the flora of Her Majesty’s beautiful gardens, which surround her UK residences.

Great Scotland Yard In the Unbound Collection by Hyatt is situated within an 1820’s Grade II listed building, putting guests right at the heart of Westminster’s phenomenal history. The hotel is surrounded by iconic attractions all within walking distance, including Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and the London Eye.

Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill is welcoming guests to a unique photography exhibition that celebrates the special relationship between the young Queen Elizabeth II and Sir Winston Churchill. The Churchill and the Crown exhibition, which has been created by the team at National Trust’s Chartwell, Winston Churchill’s former home, will take up its exclusive London residency for the first time ever at Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill. For those visiting the exhibition, guests can also raise a glass to the Queen and her Jubilee with a sumptuous Champagne afternoon tea in The Montagu Kitchen, or with an evening cocktail in the fitting surroundings of The Churchill Bar and Terrace.
The hotel is also hosting a scrumptious Jubilee Brunch on 5th June and with the hotel’s proximity to Hyde Park, Pall Mall, and Oxford Street, Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill is perfectly situated for enjoying the wider Jubilee celebrations across the city.

For those who fancy being in London but not quite so immersed in the royal celebrations, East London is the answer. Close to the Tower of London (and its expectant iconic ‘Superbloom’ installation) is Hyatt Place London City East. A super stylish base in the cosmopolitan heart of East London, the hotel is close to the vibrant Brick Lane, Spitalfields’ Market, and the artistic streets of Shoreditch.

Starting from 31st May, the hotel is running a 3 for 2 Offer, guests can stay three nights in a King room for the price of two. Also, located on the ninth floor of Hyatt Place London City East is PocketSquare Skyline Bar & Terrace, offering unrivalled views of the city and exquisitely created drinks bar manager Kristian Smith. Stay in one of the hotel’s thirteen balcony or terrace bedrooms and step into your own picture-postcard views of the world-famous London skyline. How majestic is that!

Take the Hammersmith & City line one stop west from PocketSquare and arrive at the award winning Andaz London Liverpool Street. Its aesthetic is shaped by the unique identities, history, and heritage of its location – a magical gateway between the traditionally refined City and the dramatic and creative Shoreditch.

Visit Andaz London Liverpool Street during the Jubilee long bank holiday weekend and enjoy a £100 Hotel Credit Offer when staying for two nights or more.
