Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

As You Like ItThe Bard is Back …

A troupe of five actors, armed with many musical instruments, will once again transform Durham’s Market Hall out of hours into the city’s quirkiest theatre.

The Three Inch Fools, a theatre company committed to taking the works of Britain’s best-loved playwrite into unusual venues, return to Durham Market Hall for two performances in July.  This time, they’re bringing both romantic comedy and … The Scottish Play!

Tickets are available now for William Shakespeare’s Macbeth on Tuesday July 12th, and As You Like It on Wednesday July 13th.  Tickets are £12.50 for adults and £10 for concessions and under 16s. To book, visit their website www.threeinchfools.com .

Colin Wilkes, Managing Director of Durham Markets, said: “This is the third time we’ve welcomed the Three Inch Fools, and we’re thrilled they’ve included the Market Hall in their Summer Tour.  The performers’ passion for the works of Shakespeare shines through, bringing the plays, whether tragedy or comedy, to life for audiences of all ages.  We heartily recommend you book your tickets straight away.”

James Hyde, Director of the Three Inch Fools, added: “Staging Shakespeare’s plays in different venues makes each performance a little bit different, and the Market Hall after the traders have left is certainly one of the more atmospheric settings we’ve experienced.  We’re performing two very different plays for our Summer Tour, though lovers of theatre have no need to choose between then, they are more than welcome to book tickets for both nights and enjoy the diversity of Shakespeare’s repertoire.”

Performances begin at 7.30pm, entrance to the Market Hall will be through the main entrance ramp from the Market Place.
