The Bay Horse in Hurworth celebrates its 10th birthday in September and is marking the occasion with a series of events and offers.
Since owners Marcus Bennett and Jonathan Hall opened the pub in 2008 they’ve enjoyed huge success with a loyal following of customers and have won a string of awards, including the Michelin Bib Gourmand and GastroPub Chef of the Year, The Mail on Sunday Top 50 places for Sunday Lunch, The Times top 50 gastropubs, Inspectors choice in Michelin Pub guide and regularly feature in dining bibles such as the Good Food Guide, MichelinGuide.
Marcus and Jonathan have also gone on to open two additional and equally popular restaurants – Muse and Cena in Yarm, and will shortly be opening The Devonport Hotel in Middleton One Row. They employ over 100 members of staff and between the three existing restaurants do in excess of 2500 covers every week.
To celebrate The Bay Horse’s 10th birthday there will be a special dinner on Friday 28th September which will include a pre-dinner glass of fizz, canapes and a three course dinner of old classic Bay Horse dishes. £55 per person.
Throughout the month, everyone coming for an evening meal will be treated to a complimentary glass of fizz on arrival, while the popular weekday Market Menu will be extended to Fridays too. 3 courses for £26.50 or 2 courses for £21.50.

We are so grateful to all our customers, our regulars and those passing through, and wanted to say thank you to them with a glass of fizz and a special dinner.”
