ONE MORE MONTH TO ENTER THE FIRST EDITION
OF THE 1000 MIGLIA EXPERIENCE ITALY
Brescia, 18 February 2025 – 1000 Miglia Experience Italy, the Red Arrow’s Italian event will debut in the coming weeks, offering a driving experience through Southern Italy, from the Tyrrhenian to the Adriatic shores, discovering wonders including four UNESCO heritage sites: the Amalfi Coast, the Sassi of Matera, the Trulli of Alberobello and Castel del Monte.
A result of the positive experience of Sorrento Roads, the first 1000 Miglia Experience Italy will have its prologue right in the centre of Sorrento where the 1 vs. 1 knockout challenge valid for the Città di Sorrento Trophy will be held on the late afternoon of Thursday, 10 April.
After the start on Friday, 11 April, the crews will travel along the Amalfi Coast and continue toward Salerno until they enter the Marina d’Arechi and conduct the first Time Trials here. Turning inland, they will reach Caggiano, for the first race lunch. In the afternoon, the convoy will arrive in Basilicata for a challenging race sector with 2 Average Trials and 27 Time Trials divided into two blocks. After the sporting exertions, the excitement of the passage through the heart of Matera: the route leading to the leg finish offers a privileged viewpoint of the famous Sassi. Having parked the cars in Piazza Pietro Caveoso, a walk will open up to the splendour of the Città dei Sassi.
On Saturday, 12 April, after departing Matera, the convoy will head to Puglia. Continuing southeast, they will arrive in Noci and Alberobello for a guided tour to discover the Trulli. Stopwatches in hand, they leave town and head north. Continuing the ascent, the crews will face the last series of sports trials of the event in Binetto, inside the Autodromo del Levante. The second race lunch will be in Andria, followed by a passage control with an adjoining visit to Castel del Monte, a masterpiece of medieval architecture and the fourth World Heritage site of this edition.
In the afternoon, the crews will move to Bari, for the Time Control of the final finish line along the seashore.
The deadline to enter is 4:00 p.m. (CET) on Tuesday, 18 March. The entry application should be completed in the Reserved Area of the 1000miglia.it website.
