If you want to work in the construction industry, but you’re not sure if you want to become a bricklayer, painter and decorator, joiner, plumber or electrician, then TMC’s construction workshops are for you!
On the 23rd of January, TMC are opening their doors for an excellent opportunity for people to come along and try their and at construction to give an idea of what it is like to study at TMC, to meet tutors and ask questions about different careers.
Some of the workshops available are: Painting & Decorating, Bricklaying, Plastering, Dry Lining, Kitchen & Bathroom Fitting, Electrical Installations, Plumbing, Carpentry and Joinery, so if you can see yourself doing one of these as a career, come along and give it a go.
It is advised to book a place on the workshops, where after you can drop in at any time between 5:30 and 7pm.
The construction industry employs almost 3 million people worldwide, with 280,000 construction related businesses operating in the UK, however the demand for more building development across the UK means that skilled workers are needed to fill the positions offered by employers.
All of this means the job opportunities for those with the right training is certain to increase over the next five years, making it the perfect time to consider a career in a skilled or technical trade!
