A group of eight trainees from TTE have helped to light up the children’s charity, Zoë’s Place for Christmas.
The students Cameron Hutton, Callum Lax, Aaron Noteyoung, Charlie Peacock, Joshua Ransom, Jonathan Roper, Jack Spencer, Alfie Whiteley and TTE trainer, Ken Appleby gave four days of their time to install Christmas lights at the charity’s Middlesbrough hospice, which has been transformed into a winter wonderland for the children in its care.
Guided by Ken, the students completed the installation using skills they have honed in TTE’s specialist workshops, including electrical wiring.
TTE, which is also a registered charity, is a proud supporter of Zoë’s Place and has completed a number of fundraising events in aid of the hospice, which provides a ‘home from home’ environment for babies and infants who have life limiting or life threatening conditions.
Steve Grant, Managing Director of TTE, said: “Christmas is a time for giving and I’m delighted that our trainees volunteered their time and lent a helping hand to Zoë’s Place. They’ve learnt a lot of practical skills during their time in our workshops and it’s great to see them being utilised to benefit the wider community.
Mark Guidery, General Manager at Zoë’s Place, said: “The trainees from TTE have completed the work to an exceptionally high standard and were very efficient. The young people in our care love Christmas and are enjoying the Christmas display.”
