Friday 8 May 2015 is the 70th Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VE Day).
Residents and visitors to Darlington are invited to join The Worshipful the Mayor of the Borough of Darlington, Councillor Gerald Lee and the Military Associations on the High Row in Darlington at 3.00pm to mark the occasion.
A two minute silence will commemorate at 3pm to remember those who fought for their county and sadly lost their lives in this conflict, but also to celebrate the ending of World War II.
Following the two minute Silence, the Town Crier will announce a ‘Cry’ and give 3 cheers for the Armed Services.
