Vintage exchanges old for new as part of business expansion

Chartered financial planners Vintage has moved into a new office after outgrowing its previous premises.

The independent Stockton-based company previously occupied part of the ground floor of Odyssey Systems’ headquarters on Preston Farm Business Park.

However, following a period of sustained growth, it has moved to an adjacent 3,250 sq ft office building also owned by the telecommunications and technology company.

Vintage, founded in Middlesbrough town centre in 1988, readily agreed to the move to both provide more space for its workforce and to continue its close working relationship with Odyssey Systems.

Sam Tate, Managing Partner at Vintage, said remaining on the site allowed it to continue to benefit from Odyssey’s industry-leading hosted telephony system and close technical support.

The cloud-based system is highly cost-effective and offers businesses greater reliability and flexibility, allowing users to make calls on any device from any location – which means transferring from one building to another is a simple ‘plug-in’ process.

Vintage, which provides a wide range of financial planning services to both individuals and businesses, was based in Waterloo House, Stockton, for many years until moving into the Odyssey building in 2016.

At the time it employed 10 staff but, following a 12-month period of rapid expansion, that number grew to 17.

Sam said: “In 2017 things really took off following several years of actively promoting the business and winning new clients. As a result, Vintage quickly became recognised as innovative and forward-thinking.

“We had reached capacity in our former office and were delighted to be given an opportunity to move to the new office. This not only fulfils our current needs but offers enough space to accommodate future growth plans.

“We wanted to continue our association with Odyssey Systems, as the company is not only a considerate landlord but provides an efficient and reliable communications system which continues to play a vital part in our success.

“Odyssey has provided such features as call recording and were very responsive whenever we required the installation of extra phone lines. As a company, it offers excellent support for a growing business.”

Christine Gilbert, Operations Director of Odyssey Systems, said: “We have forged a close working relationship with Vintage since they moved onto our site three years ago and it has been gratifying to see it prosper during this time.

“Not only are they a valued customer of our telecommunications services but we are pleased to provide Vintage with the office space necessary to provide for its future needs.”

Established in 1987, Odyssey Systems is an award-winning company and leading supplier of hosted telephony, cloud services and high-speed connectivity solutions to more than 2,500 customers in the UK.
