Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

A warm welcome for heating investment

Work is well underway which will see £1.2million invested into new heating systems for residents across the Tees Valley.

Nearly 600 of Thirteen’s customers, across nine estates in Stockton, Thornaby, Billingham and Middlesbrough will benefit from the investment programme, which will replace old gasboilers with more energy efficient heating systems.

The work is being completed by Thirteen’s investment team in partnership with Vision Building Services Ltd and is expected to be complete by the end of March next year.

Thirteen’s executive director of property services Russell Thompson said: “This investment is a major boost for our customers living in these areas.

“The work will replace old, inefficient heating systems with more cost effective, modern combination boilers which will help to reduce our customer’s fuel bills.

“This year we’re delivering around £26million worth of improvements. We will continue to invest in the properties that we own and manage because we know it’s important to the customers we have now and the ones that we will have in the future.”

Thirteen will contact customers who are living in one of our homes which is being updated, they’ll receive a letter about the plans and the type of improvement work being delivered.
