Family-run business and UK mailing house, Washington Direct Mail, have announced their best year yet. 2017 has seen the most significant growth for the Newcastle based company in their history, with them even taking on more staff towards the end of the year.
Lynn Beasley, Managing Director, said of 2017: “It has been an amazing year for us. We’ve been averaging four to five new customers a month, which is a staggering increase in growth for us as a family business. With the addition of a new major retail client worth £150,000, and another new financial services client worth in excess of £200,000, we never imagined how busy it would be, or that we would need more staff.”
The direct mail firm, is constantly growing and is looking to expanding their team after a huge charity event organiser contract has been renewed, and the arrival of a high-end retail furnishing client to their books. In addition to this they have also been running tests for several large financial clients, which have proved hugely successful for the company.
Washington Direct Mail have printed more than four million pieces of direct mail since April 2017 and are already preparing for 2018.
They have joined the British Printing Industries Federation, boasting excellent member companies. Washington Direct Mail are also looking to achieve their ISO27001 in January, which allows them to take on even more clients – especially with their growing number of staff.
Lynn said of their future plans: “After the success of 2017, we are aiming to beat our new records in 2018 and continue to work with our clients, and gain some new faces. We’ve had such a fantastic year in 2017, and we are putting the work in to ensure it carries on. I’m so proud of what the team has achieved, and we can’t wait to welcome more people to the Washington Direct Mail family.”
Further to their direct mail success, the North East company is launching a new website to cater for the increase in demand. Set to be launched early next month (January), the website will showcase their range of services, team and even provide tips on planning direct mail for your business.
