Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Wear it Festive and Raise Funds for Daisy Chain

The Stockton based charity which supports families affected by autism across the Tees Valley, appealed for businesses, community groups, offices, supermarkets, organisations, groups of friends to don something festive and help raise vitally needed funds.

Throughout the day Daisy Chain will be posting updates on social media from supporters who are fundraising using the hashtag #WearItFestive.

£40 can fund a social club session for a child with autism, £75 will pay for a short break session, £500 will facilitate one-to-one sessions for four children with severe autism.

Kate and Craig Alewood’s son George was diagnosed with autism when he was three and they have been visiting Daisy Chain since 2011. Kate said: ‘Daisy Chain is our favourite place – we love it. I don’t know what we would do without it; we can’t go to mainstream places. They’re busy and unpredictable, and there are too many people.’

Stuart Dexter, chief executive of Daisy Chain said:

‘This is a great way to get festive, have fun with your, friends, colleagues and team and help support families who need the services of Daisy Chain.’
