Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ premium pick-up celebrates its digital world premiere on 7 July. Ahead of that, two short videos already grant a look at the side contours of the new Amarok, at its oval wheel arches and at the all-terrain tyres suitable for any off-road driving.
In the video the new Amarok shows off its elegantly sporty side through its clear lines and completely redesigned body shape. The oval wheel arches are also showcased. A wholly new range of wheels is also a feature of the new Amarok. And on top of that the pick-up will for the first time depending on model also be sold ex-factory with all-terrain tyres. Nothing thus stands in the way of the new Amarok immediately going off road, driving along unmade tracks or around a construction site.
VWCVs design team previously already showed the ‘IQ.Light’, the strikingly embossed ‘Amarok’ on the tailgate and the new, vertically aligned display unit with its knobs and buttons. The two videos on the contours, wheel arches and wheels can now be viewed here.
Following in the wheel tracks of success
Over 830,000 units of the Amarok have been sold to date in Europe, South America, South Africa and Oceania. The strengths of the successful premium pick-up from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles: supreme drive systems, high load capacities, systematic functionality and a design the cuts a good figure both on and off the road. The brand from Hannover is further developing these strengths with the new generation. The new Amarok will launch as of the end of 2022 in the first few countries with double cab and four doors (DoubleCab), and in some individual markets with a two- door single cab (SingleCab).
