Willie Dowling is thrilled to announce that his ‘Invisible Band’ just became a wee bit more visible. Following successful tours across the UK last autumn, supporting Cats in Space and Quireboys, Willie – on piano and vocals – and long standing collaborator Andy Lewis on bass, will be joined by drummer Darby Todd (Devin Townsend, Kee Marcello, The Darkness) for a headline club tour of the UK in February.

The group will be performing songs from Willie Dowling’s critically acclaimed new album The Simpleton, as well as a few tracks from his past bands, including The Dowling Poole, Jackdaw4 and The Grip.

“I’m looking forward to returning to some of my favourite venues, and playing in a few places that are completely new to me. Andy Lewis and Darby Todd both play on The Simpleton album, and I’m delighted that they’re joining me to play those songs live on the February tour”, says Willie Dowling.

“The world is teetering on the edge of collapse and after Trump’s inauguration the current ‘teetering’ will accelerate towards the high diving board for a massive belly flop. I’d very much like to be a distraction from that crushing inevitability, or at least, be a small part of your final memories on planet earth, so please rush to get tickets before it’s all too late. “

He adds with a laugh:
“I also run courses on motivational speaking and thinking positively.”
