Mums across the County are being offered the chance to get fit for less with free leisure discount cards this Mothers’ Day.
From Sunday 6 to Sunday 13 March – a week which includes International Women’s Day on 8 March – all women who visit the 10 Durham County Council run centres can receive a Thrive leisure card for free.
The Thrive card – which usually costs £5 – gives holders up to a 20% discount on a range of activities including group exercise classes, swimming sessions, squash court hire or time in a sauna and steam room.
But no one is being left out and from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 March the centres will also be offering free access to their gyms and group exercise classes. During these three days all visitors – male and female – will able to sign up for a Thrive card free of charge.
