WORK STARTS ON TEES VALLEY’S BEST EVER OFFICE SPACE

Work is underway on a £1.4m project to create a new generation of office space that its owners promise will be the best business premises in the Tees Valley.

Level Q is the brainwave of property investors Preston Cherry, who are creating the prestigious office space on Surtees Business Park in Stockton, just off the A66.

Created from the existing Sheraton House and Infinity House, Level Q is set to open in the autumn as the first part of an exciting two-phase development.

Businessmen Andy Preston and Gareth Cherry say the three-storey new office space will be the best and most luxurious on Teesside.

The ground floor of Level Q’s five-star facilities will feature a reception lobby, café, small cinema, gym room and a number of high-quality office suites.

On the first floor, offices will surround a central social zone known as The Village Green, featuring picnic-style benches and artificial grass similar to material recently fitted within Google’s Californian headquarters.

Along with traditional longer-term leases, various levels of membership will be available within the new premises, from hot desks to the very best service, known as Level Q.

Level Q members will also be able to access a boardroom with state-of-the-art conferencing facilities, a concierge service, super-fast internet – and free drinks including wine!

“There’s nothing like this on Teesside,” said Andy Preston. “Level Q will represent a new generation of workspace.

“We’re creating an amazing working environment with top-class facilities and the highest quality finish.

“There’s a big change in demand for offices right now. While demand for large offices in big buildings is on the slide, there’s an increasing interest in smaller offices in exciting workspaces with a real buzz.

“Internationally, a huge company called We Work is practically taking over the office world, offering membership of hugely impressive office facilities in places such as New York, Sydney, London and more recently Manchester.

However, Andy believes Teesside is way down We Work’s pecking order, so Preston Cherry is creating a product of equal quality for up to 150 people right on our doorstep.

He added: “Although there are good business premises on Teesside, such as Boho One in Middlesbrough and Stockton’s Fusion Hive, we‘ll offer a lot more and we’ll be more fun, too. We’ll provide the sort of extras that make a difference, such as on-site fitness facilities and social events.

“Level Q will be a truly great place to work, get fit and meet like-minded people.

“In terms of the outstanding facilities we’ll offer, it will fantastic value for money.

“We’ve kept it all fairly hush-hush until now but we’re anticipating high demand as we fully expect Level Q to appeal to those who believe their working environment makes a real statement about their business and are willing to pay the going rate to have the best.”

full construction work is set to get underway in early July.
