10 medals at Durham individuals Schools event

11 Bishop Auckland Table Tennis players took part in the Durham Individual school championships on the 21 st of February in Durham. The Under 11’s boys saw Ben Mold come out winner of the event having beaten club mate Ashton Tallentire in the quarter finals. Ashton’s Sister 9-year- old Halle came away with sliver medal in the u11 girls. Anya Milne won the u13’s Girls event while Amy Mold won the u16’s Girls event beating club mate Sophie Golightly in the final. The u13’s Boys saw another run of medals with Luke Mitchell winning gold, beating club mate Jack Anderson in the final and Jake Bewley getting a bronze. Adam Hanby and Mathew Pearson both also picked up bronze medals in the u16s boys events.

Amy, Anya, Ben and Luke all now represent Durham at the English School Table Tennis Association’s National finals in Wolverhampton in April along with Jake Haygarth and James Neal who won in the Cumbria championships.
