Peterlee

Located in the North East of England, Peterlee is a small town that sits between the cities of Sunderland and Durham. Known for its rich industrial heritage, Peterlee is home to a range of old factory buildings and former mining sites that have now been transformed into modern business hubs and tourist attractions. The town also has plenty of green spaces, with Castle Eden Dene Nature Reserve being a popular spot for walkers and nature enthusiasts. Other popular attractions in Peterlee include the Apollo Pavilion, a sculpture made of concrete, and the East Durham Heritage and Lifeboat Centre. With a population of just over 20,000 people, Peterlee has a tight-knit community feel and boasts a range of local amenities, including several shopping centres, pubs and restaurants, as well as good transport links to nearby towns and cities.
