The Queens Head Hotel in Berwick, England’s most northern town on the coast of Northumberland has been brought to the market through specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co.

Located in the town centre, the Queens Head is a Grade II listed hotel with six en suite bedrooms and a contemporary bar and restaurant.

With a rich history including many territorial battles between England and Scotland, Berwick is well known as a tourist destination and market town, a main stop off point on the East Coast main line between Newcastle upon Tyne and Edinburgh.

Mark Worley, Director at Christie & Co who is handling the sale comments, “This is a great opportunity for an owner-operator to take over an already successful and easily managed business. The hotel generates profits well in excess of £100,000 and the current owners have a good team in place which allows them to devote time to other pursuits.”

Current owner Garry Greenaway adds, “We have been here for 16 profitable years and we believe we are the second longest owner in its 250 year history. In that time we have established the hotel and restaurant as a top quality business however we feel that the time has come to move onto a new chapter in our lives.”

The Oueens Head Hotel is available through Christie & Co at an asking price of £525,000 for the freehold.
