Workers at East Durham Homes raised £645 for Macmillan Cancer Support in just one day in memory of Tom Croft who passed away in December 2016 following a battle with the disease.

Led by staff in the Peterlee based rent team, the money was raised through raffles, donations and a dress down day.

Jayne Adamson, senior income management officer from East Durham Homes, said: “Tom was a popular member of the team and is greatly missed. We all wanted to do something in his memory and raising money to help Macmillan Cancer Support continue their good work was the perfect way to do that.”

County Durham Housing Group, the parent organisation of East Durham Homes, has also chosen Macmillan Cancer Support as one of three charities it actively raises money for.
