The development consultancy leading some of the region’s flagship projects has appointed a new Director.
Identity Consult is heading up Sunderland’s Beacon of Light scheme and the Smith’s Dock project in North Shields as well as a number of other major developments across the UK.
The firm, which provides project management, quantity surveying and BIM consultancy from its offices in Sunderland and Preston, today announced it is promoting Andrew Milnes to director. Andrew will also take up a role on its board.
He is currently leading the £16m Beacon of Light project in Sunderland on behalf of the Foundation of Light and the £55m Dove Lane project for Places for People in Bristol. He is also a market leader in offsite construction, an initiative currently championed by George Clarke, to improve the design and quality of new homes by building them in a controlled factory environment and then transporting them to a ready-made plot.
He joined development consultancy Identity Consult five years ago and has played a significant role in the growth of the Project Management team since joining the organisation. He previously worked as a Design Manager for a major contractor before moving into consultancy and this technical background has provided the foundation for leading many flagship projects on behalf of the company.
