FANCY learning how to grow your own tasty fruit and vegetables?

Then Middlesbrough Environment City’s renowned Vegetable Growing course is just what you’re looking for.

The free course is returning for 2018 at the Town Farm Community Allotment on Cargo Fleet Lane.

The course is suitable for beginners and improvers and covers a range of basic skills to enable you to start up or expand your home or allotment food growing.

Content includes indoor and outdoor seed sowing, soil management and crop planning.

The courses are run over one full day, from 9.30am to 3.30pm with the first taking place on Thursday, April 12.

The next course will run on Wednesday, April 18 if there is enough interest.

The course is free to those aged 19 or over who have been resident in the UK for at least three years. Please do not book a place unless you are sure you can attend.
