Housing group employees have gone pink in aid of a good cause.
County Durham Housing Group, Dale & Valley Homes and Durham City Homes have pooled their resources to take part in Breast Cancer Now’s ‘wear it pink’ day.
The combined efforts saw £824 raised through bake-offs, raffles and staff ‘dressing down’ in pink for the event.
Sarah Keable, County Durham Housing Group employee who took part, said: “It’s a scary thought but most people have come into contact with breast cancer, be it directly or indirectly, so it’s really important that research into this field is supported and continues.”
