To celebrate, there will be a host of taster activities on offer where people can try out something new while highlighting some of the great new courses available for the next academic year beginning in September.

The festivals will be held on Wednesday 22 June, between 11.30am and 2pm, at Kiora Hall, in Roseworth, Stockton and Friday 24 June, between 11.30am and 2.30pm at Billingham Community Centre.

Everyone is welcome to come along and try out the activities which include music, cookery and photography to self-defence, art and sewing.

There will also be free healthy tasty food activities along with music to set the festival spirit.

Councillor Jim Beall, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Adult Services and Health, said: “This promises to be two great days of activities and fun in a choice of two venues where everyone can pop along and try out something new.

“There will be lots to entertain the kids and it is a great opportunity to sample some of the courses starting in September.”

There will also be a prize for the ‘best dressed festival go-er’!
