Newcastle United defender Achraf Lazaar has joined Serie A side Benevento Calcio on a season-long loan.
The Moroccan international full-back has signed a loan deal which will keep him with the Italian outfit until June 2018.
Lazaar joined United from Palermo in August 2016 and made nine appearances for the Magpies last season.
The 25-year-old has featured once for United this term, coming on as a second-half substitute in the Carabao Cup tie with Nottingham Forest.
