A low cost printer and photography studio has opened in Middlesbrough’s Dundas Shopping Centre.

LD Printing has taken the ground and first floor of Unit 8 in the Dundas Shopping Centre, having moved from a unit in the adjoining Dundas Indoor Market where it has successfully traded for the past four years.  The new letting means that the shopping centre is now 100% occupied.

LD Printing supplies personalised gifts, canvas prints and other bespoke printed products and has just opened a photography studio to supply professional photographs.  Growth in the business prompted the move.

David Harris, Dundas Market Manager says:  “This is the fifth business which started in the Dundas Market which has successfully transferred into the shopping centre following a period of growth.  Dundas Market is really developing a reputation as the home of the entrepreneur.

“In addition to LD Printing, the Festival Shop, Tik Tok, Homefair Blinds, Buckshees Military Surplus started in the market and moved into the shopping centre.”

Owner of LD Printing Robert Lewis says: “Our business has prospered and grown in Dundas Indoor Market, so we are delighted to take advantage of a rare vacancy to move into a retail unit in the shopping centre, where we will have more space to operate a photography studio and continue to provide an excellent service to existing and new customers.”

“Mr Harris continues: “In the past 12 months a number of businesses including Ebenezer Hair Boutique and Brickyard Bakery, have opened new successful businesses in the indoor market.  LD Printing’s departure now means that there are new opportunities for people looking to start a business, or to open an additional outlet.

“We’ve still got a limited number of Enterprise Units available, where the rent is as little as £10 per day all in. There is just the rent to pay, no worries about costs for security, utilities and rates, and our business units come with marketing and business support.”
