Ndiaye signs up for the Rocks

The Radisson Red Glasgow Rocks have announced the signing of 6’6″ Norwegian international, Bouna Ndiaye for the 2018-19 season.

Ndiaye played his college career with NW Nazarene, where we averaged 17.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists a game.

His first year as a pro started in Spain with Real Canoe Madrid before heading to France to finish the season with NM1 side Golbey Epinal Thaon Vosges – averaging 7.5 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists.

“Bouna is an exciting signing for us, having watched a number of his games with the Norwegian national team this summer we are excited to see him in a Rocks jersey this season,” said head coach, Darryl Wood.

“He is another player with great size that can shoot the ball well and his skill set fits well within what we will be looking to do on offence and defence.

“He has great potential to really grow and develop to become a huge asset in this league and in future higher leagues within Europe – given his character and drive this will no doubt be the
case.”

Ndiaye added: “I am so excited to be joining the Glasgow Rocks. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity that I have been given to play for such a promising team, as well as for the coaches that believe in me enough to give me this opportunity to play in the BBL.

“I’m looking forward to playing at home, as I have seen online that the Rocks have a great fan base. It looks like so much fun to be a part of this organisation.

“I also noticed that the Rocks have numerous skilled and high-level players as well, so I’m also looking forward to growing as a player and competing against other high-level and competitive
athletes.”
