Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

New Website will help Families get the Support their need

logo-landscapeA FREE online tool has been launched to help families across Stockton-on-Tees access the services they need.

Developed by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, the new “For Families” section of the Stockton Information Directory (SID) website is packed with information about activities, classes, support services or events taking place in the Borough.

It covers a wide range of topics including parenting and family support, early years, schools, health and wellbeing, money matters, staying safe, training, employment and volunteering plus much more.

Local organisations, charities and businesses which provide services to families living in and around Stockton Borough can also quickly and easily upload their information, activities or services onto the Stockton Information Directory free of charge.

Councillor Ann McCoy, Stockton Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: “This new user friendly website brings together a wealth of information to all those who care for children and young people – all in one place. All the information will be regularly updated so parents, carers, young people and professionals can access guidance, support and advice on a wide range of topics.”

The “For Families” section complements the existing “For Adults” and “Local Offer” sections of the Stockton Information Directory website. For more information visit www.stocktoninformationdirectory.org

To register your group, class or organisation with the directory either visit the ‘Include your Service’ page of the website or alternatively contact the Families Information Service on 01642 527225 or email fis@stockton.gov.uk
